How to apply
- Online applications for Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs for the 2024-2025 academic year will be accessible starting in April 2024 on the college website (www.psgcas.ac.in).
- All qualified programs can be applied to with a single application. On the same application, candidates can select the distinct assisted and self-financing programs that best suit their needs.
- To access the application portal, candidates can use their email address and mobile number, either their own or their parent's. Once entered, the number and mail ID cannot be changed. Only the email address and mobile number provided on the application will get any communications.
- To save the application, the applicants must input their particular category, academic information, and general/personal information afterwards.
- A candidate will be able to select from a list of acceptable courses for admission counseling based on the eligibility criteria based on the subjects studied in their 12th and undergraduate years.
- The candidate's information will be double-checked, and the application will be designated as Verified if it turns out to be accurate. When inaccurate information or data mismatches are found, the item will be labeled as Needs Correction. The candidate will be notified to submit a clear image of the certificates if the attached photos of the papers are unclear.
The documents required are as follows-
- Recent passport size photo
- 10th Mark sheet
- Community Certificate
- Aadhar Card
- Special Category Certificate (if applicable)
- 12th Result copy (for UG-after the publication of results)
- Semester-wise and Consolidated Mark sheet (For PG application)
Allotment of Counseling dates
- The college website will release the tentative dates, times, and locations for admission counseling sessions on the second day following the announcement of the Tamil Nadu board's 12th grade results.
- The application registration portal will close at 5pm on the third day following the release of the 12th grade results, and any documents submitted beyond that time will be labeled as Late Application.
- On the same day, a rank list comprising both an overall and a community-based rank will be released.
- A call-for-registration list for language (based on the marks received in the relevant language subject), arts, and science programs will be created after the registration period closes and the cut-off mark is determined. Precise counseling dates, sessions, and slots will also be prepared and posted on the college website.
- An personalized email with information about the date, time, and session of their assigned counseling session will be issued to the chosen candidates.
- To monitor the status of their application, program vacancies, ranking, and other information, applicants can visit the application portal.
Admission Counseling process
- Admission counseling for candidates in specific categories (sports, NCC, ex-servicemen, and differently-abled, for example) will take place on the fourth day following the release of the Tamil Nadu state board results, based on their placement in the relevant category.
- Counseling for ordinary candidates will start on the fifth day, in accordance with the published rank list.
- The candidates will be divided into programs for Arts, Science, and Language according to the subjects they studied in their 12th grade. Arts and Science candidates will have separate counseling sessions, and they will be instructed to show up at the appropriate college locations.
- At the counseling location, the candidate is required to present their counseling slips with their general marks and counseling specifics.
- The candidate may wait in the waiting area with one parent, but they will need to wait for their turn. As soon as a candidate selects a program, the number of openings for each will be checked in the hall and updated.
- A candidate must first verify the documents at the waiting hall counters if their application is listed as Conditionally Verified because they failed to submit the proper documentation or because the image or documents are blurry. The counseling room will only be open to candidates who have undergone thorough verification.
- When entering the counseling room, the candidate must have a prioritized list of their top choices for programs.
- Transferring to another program is prohibited once a program has been selected.
- As requested by the candidate, the counselor will provide the appropriate seat allocation. The candidate will receive a printout of the admission slip along with instructions for paying the price with a card, cash, or online. If there isn't a position available, the application will be put On hold.
- The candidate and the accompanying parent must fill out and sign the Declaration form and turn it into the counselor.
- Payment for fees can be made at the appropriate counters at the Aided / SF offices with cash or credit card, or by logging into the application portal. There will be online fee payment systems accessible outside of the counseling locations.
