Karnataka NEET UG 2025 Cutoff is expected to be higher than the qualifying marks. For instance, General and EWS category students are expected to obtain a score of around 630 or above, while OBC candidates may need at least 590. Factors Influencing Karnataka NEET UG 2025 Cutoff

Many factors contribute to deciding the Karnataka NEET UG 2025 cutoff. The authorities take several essential points into account while preparing the cutoff marks for MBBS and BDS admissions in the state:

  • The total number of students who applied and appeared for NEET UG 2025 from Karnataka.
  • The difficulty level of this year’s NEET Question Paper.
  • The overall performance of candidates in the exam, especially those eligible under the Karnataka state quota.

Karnataka NEET UG Counselling Process 2025

The Karnataka NEET UG 2025 counselling is managed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses in the state. The entire counselling process will be conducted online and will take place in three rounds, including a mop-up round if seats remain available.

Registration

KEA opened the counselling registration in January 2025, even before the NEET results were declared. Candidates who didn’t apply earlier can now register until July 17, 2025, through the UGNEET section on the KEA portal. Registration is the first and most essential step to be eligible for the counselling rounds.

Release of Seat Matrix

Before choice filling begins, KEA will publish the seat matrix, which shows available seats in each college under various categories, including General, OBC, SC/ST, EWS, NRI, Hyderabad-Karnataka quota, and others. This helps candidates plan their preferences more effectively.

Document Verification

All registered candidates must upload their documents online for verification. This includes marksheets, caste/category certificates (if applicable), and other relevant documents. Only verified candidates can proceed to the next step.

Secret Key & Option Entry

After verification, KEA will issue a secret key and an acknowledgement slip. This key is required to access the option entry portal, where candidates can enter their college and course preferences. There’s no limit on the number of options, so it’s wise to list as many as possible.

Seat Allotment

KEA will release the seat allotment result based on NEET rank, reservation category, and the choices filled. Candidates who receive a seat must confirm it by paying the admission fee and reporting to the allotted college as per the instructions.

Karnataka NEET UG 2025 Cutoff: Reservation Policy

Before participating in the Karnataka NEET UG 2025 counselling process, students need to be aware of the reservation policy in place in Karnataka. Understanding how seats are distributed across categories can help candidates better estimate their chances of getting a medical seat under the state quota.
