The entire admissions process is according to the guidelines issued by the CIT. The final admission to the program will be given based purely on the class XIIth marks (aggregate of all subjects). Candidates should have followed the below mentioned steps to apply for the admission.

In the Undergraduate program the admission will be based on the score obtained in the class 12th examination. Candidates should have met the merit criteria released by the Institute.

For postgraduate programs the admission will be based on the marks obtained in the TANCET exam, which is conducted by the Anna University, Chennai. The qualified candidates should have appeared in the TANCET counselling session to get admission in CIT.

To appear in the counselling session candidates should have to register themselves on the TNEA website.

  • Click to apply now.
  • Candidates should have provided their email and mobile number.
  • Provide all the required information with documents.
  • Submit the application form.
Documents required at the time of admission
  1. Hard Copy of Pre Admission Online Registration Form
  2. 3 passport size photographs
  3. SSC Mark sheet
  4. SSC School leaving certificate
  5. HSC Mark sheet
  6. HSC School leaving certificate
  7. Graduation Mark sheet and Passing certificate
  8. Any other certificate as applicable
  9. Transfer/ Migration certificate

Undergraduate admission

Admission in the undergraduate program will depend upon the score obtained in the class 12th examination. The eligible candidates can apply for their interested programs.

Selection procedure
  • Candidates should have submitted their application process on the official website of the college.
  • After filling the application form, the authority will release the merit for the undergraduate programs.
  • Candidates have to check the merit list.
  • Selected candidates in the merit list should have participated in the counselling session.
  • Candidates must go through the documents verification process and pay the courses fee to complete the admission process.

Postgraduate admission

Admission to the postgraduate programs will depend upon the marks obtained by the candidates in the TANCET exam.

Selection procedure

  • Candidates should have met the eligibility criteria of the required program.
  • Candidates should have appeared in the TANCET examination.
  • After the examination the merit list will be prepared.
  • Shortlisted candidates can go through the counselling session.
  • Candidates should choose their preferred college as CIT Chennai and filling out the counselling form.
  • To complete the admission process candidates should verify their documents and pay the course fee.
