Davangere University has 4 departments- Arts, science & technology, commerce management and education. The university has 116 colleges affiliated to it with one constituent college and two autonomous colleges offering graduate and postgraduate courses. It offers 23 Post graduation courses of studies and Research courses on its main campus. For the admissions to all Post graduation courses, both the marks obtained in the entrance test and aggregate marks obtained in the relevant subject(s) at qualifying degree examination will be considered. The candidates will be shortlisted for admissions on the basis of the score in the entrance exam. The university admits 50 students (merit and open merit) under each PG course. Reservation of seats for special categories is also available as per government orders.

Davangere University offers Research courses under 6 disciplines. Candidates who have Master’s degree with 50% aggregate marks can apply for admissions. Admissions to the course are based on entrance tests conducted by the university.
