Indira Gandhi National Tribal University in Amarkantak, Anuppur district, Madhya Pradesh, India, was established through an Act of Parliament, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007, by the Government of India. The university provides avenues of higher education and research facilities primarily for the tribal population of India.
Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) offers a variety of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral courses leading to BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BJMC, BBA, BCA, B.Pharm, B.Voc, B.Ed., Integrated B.Ed., MA, MBA, MCA, M.Com, M.Sc., MJMC, Ph.D. and D.Pharm programs.
Minimum eligibility for UG courses is passed in 10+2 examination in relevant stream with minimum 50% marks. For PG courses, candidates must pass in graduation degree with minimum 50% marks.
The Admission in the UG Courses shall be given based on CUET conducted by NTA. For the admission in PG Courses, the University will conduct the Entrance Test.
In case of two or more candidates securing equal marks in the qualifying examination/Entrance Test then the admission will be successively given in order of preference as follows:
The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University offers B.A, B.Com, BJMC, BBA, and B.Pharm at the UG level. The eligibility to apply to any of the Undergraduate programs of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University ranges between 40%-50% in 10+2. Admission will be granted based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores.

Based on the scores in CUET, candidates are offered admission to Indira Gandhi National Tribal University. A merit list will be prepared in descending order of the scores of many candidates. The candidates who will meet all the university's requirements will be called for further rounds of the admission process. After displaying the CUET result, candidates will have to enrol for counselling rounds and hence the candidates can select the colleges as per their requirements.

Candidates applying for UG courses at IGNTU must follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for CUET:
Step I: Candidates should go to the CUET's official website.
Step II: Go to the top right corner and click Register.
Step III: Fill in all required information, including basic and personal information.
Step IV: Double-check the accuracy of the information you provided on the application form. If the information on the application form is incorrect, edit it.
Step V: From the drop-down menu, select the University and Program.
Step VI: Choose your CUET test paper and/or subject(s).
Step VII: Complete the CUET exam language.
Step VIII: Choose a city preference to be assigned to the CUET exam location closest to you.
Step IX: Make sure you have all of the necessary documentation.
Step X: Go over the application form once again.
Step XI: Check all the boxes to see if the information you provided on the application form is correct.
Step XII: To pay the application fee, make an online payment using a secure payment option.
Step XIII: Save the application form to your computer and print it for future use.
IGNTU offers several postgraduate programmes in Arts, Literature, Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Application, Mass Communication & Journalism.
Minimum eligibility for PG courses is passed in Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Admission to the PG courses at IGNTU is done through the IGNTU Admission Test.

Admission to the Ph.D. courses is done through an Entrance Test. However, candidates need to hold a Master's degree in a relevant discipline to get admission to the doctoral programmes.
