The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research Chandigarh, offers postgraduate (M.E.) and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs in engineering and technical education. Candidates can apply to their desired course and specialization by filling out an application form available at the college website. 

• Application Form: To apply, candidates have to visit the official www.nitttrchd.ac.in and download the application form. Fill out all required fields, then prepare a Demand Draft of ₹1000/- in favor of "Director, NITTTR," payable at Chandigarh. Submit the completed form, Demand Draft, and supporting documents to the institute’s Admission Cell.
• Merit List and Counseling: The institute prepares a merit list of all sponsored eligible candidates based on the percentage of marks obtained in all the semesters/years of qualifying examination and the total experience. Shortlisted candidates are then called for counseling or interviews.
• Document Verification: During counseling, candidates need to produce original documents for verification, including mark sheets, degree certificates, identity proof, and category certificates (if applicable).
• Admission Confirmation and Fee Payment: The shortlisted candidates will need to pay the admission fee within the given time period.

• Library: NITTTR library houses more than 50,000 resources which include books, bound volumes of journals, theses, CDs, DVDs etc. The library collection covers subjects like Civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer science, applied science, education, management, mathematics and allied areas.
• Hostel & Mess: Separate hostels for boys and girls with non-AC single occupancy rooms furnished with bed, table, chair, and wardrobe. Amenities include water coolers, indoor play areas, security, and gym facilities. Mess provides three meals daily.
• Institute Dispensary: A Dispensary is available on campus. It is supervised by a Part-Time Medical Officer. Services of the dispensary are available to students and to the family members of the staff.
