The Berhampur University has four departments. These are Science, Humanities, Self-Finance Course, and Business Studies. Currently, the University offers 24 PG courses with streams of Science, Humanities, and Business Studies. The university also offers a PhD and a Doctorate in Literature. The course of PG in self-financing mode is provided in Pharmacy, Women's Studies, and Finance. BEd course is also offered in self-finance mode at the University. There are colleges located in the seven districts of Orissa which come under the observation of Berhampur University. These are Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Koraput, Rayagada, Nowrangpur, and Malkangiri.
