BP Marine Academy (BPMA) was established in December 1997 with the objective of imparting marine-related training to seafarers. BPMA has its two campuses in Mumbai, one at Belapur and another at Panvel. BPMA is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and partnered with South Tyneside College. The Academy provides training related to Merchant Navy and Marine Engineering. It has received several awards from some big names, such as World Book of Records, IAO, Limca Book of Rewards, Education Excellence Awards, to name a few.
The campus is spread over 15-acre land in the arms of mother nature, characterised by the scenic beauty facing a 1,000-meter waterfront with a stunning sea view. A historical Jetty, which was constructed by the great Maratha King Shri Shivaji Maharaj is also a part of the Panvel Campus. The Government of Maharashtra has handed over the entire campus to BPMA to develop, built the state of art, world-class maritime training academy to cater to the needs of the national and international maritime industry.
