Chetana's H.S. College of Commerce & Economics provides internship and placement opportunities to students. In Chetana there is a self-financing career and placement team that is managed by the human resource department, in this department faculty are students of Bachelor of Management studies.
The main activities of the cell are to coordinate with companies and provide internship and final placement opportunities to the students, train the aspiring students with professional skills that are required at the workplace, and also provide career guidance, orientation, seminars, and workshops to facilitate the students for their career development.
The main objective of the placement cell:-
- The placement cell always coordinates with the companies to provide internship and placement opportunities to the students.
- It also helps to organise career counselling sessions and seminars.
- Engagement activities for the students.
- To provide the job description to students to place them according to their areas of interest in the organisation.
- Help students develop their skills through various training programs, seminars, and workshops, and projects.
- The placement cell works as a bridge between college students and industries to provide them with placement opportunities.
- To increase awareness amongst current students about placement opportunities in industries and various skill sets required.
Training and development activities:-
- Sanvitti 20 ( panel discussion)- creating a career path in entrepreneurship (Session 1), a story of the success of cricket (Session 2).
- Webinar on Journalism in the digital age on traditional platforms.
- Webinar on the changing role of marketing professionals in present times.
- Ongoing development sessions conducted by HR and placement team students for all classes of SFC.
