School of Maritime Law, Policy & Administration
An array of specialized programs is offered at the School of Maritime Law, Policy & Administration of Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) with a particular emphasis on maritime law and international trade law. The total course fee of the maritime law and international trade law - LL.M programs comes to Rs.2,62,200 which is inclusive of the one-time admissible fee and alumni fund coupled with annual tuition and other maintenance costs. For students who want to advance their skills further, Executive Development Program (EDP) in Maritime Law is offered at a fee of Rs.1,17,000 per anuum. One can pursue Ph.D. Law in full-time or part-time modes, where the fees of course will be local 1,67,000 and 68, 000 domestic students. However, foreign students will pay more. School of Maritime Management & Maritime Training Course
Through its School of Maritime Management & Maritime Training, Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) provides various professional courses to groom young minds for careers in shipping and logistics. The total annual tuition fee for this course is Rs.1,25,000 and the semester fees Rs.62,500 for the MBA in Shipping Logistics Management course. This program is intended to help students deepen their understanding and develop the skills necessary to face the challenges posed by the international shipping and logistics arena.
Also, GMU has introduced a Ph.D. Programme in Management, which is available for both full-time and part-time students. The fees structure bears one-time admission fee of Rs.5,000 and a non-refundable security deposit of Rs.15,000. Total fees for full-time candidates amounts to Rs.1,67,000, while part-time students' fees total up to Rs.68,000. NRI and foreign nationals have a different fee structure, which is also higher.

The Center of Executive Education

These short duration courses of about 3 to 7 days are aimed at improving leadership effectiveness aspect of upper and middle management and general management aspect of senior management level.
These programs are developed and delivered by the global executive education faculty with the best practices and insights from all around the globe. GMU also works with other international recognized maritime institutions such as Erasmus University and STC International based in Rotterdam to ensure that the course participants learn cutting edge content suitable for their maritime and logistical companies. Upcoming Schools and courses offered by it
Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) has decided to diversify its academic programs by adding new schools and specialized courses, thereby improving the maritime education. The Center of Continuing Education is expected to offer PG Diplomas in several areas such as, Logistics, Maritime Law, Marine Insurance and Chartering & Ship-broking amongst others.
The School of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences will design and implement programs such as MA in Maritime History, MA in Maritime Geography, MA in Maritime Ecology and a PhD program on other matters which involve the use of water bodies in explaining various concepts in different fields.
In the School of Marine Technology, various undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs will be offered; B.Tech. in Marine Engineering, B.Sc. in Nautical Science, B.Tech. in Naval & Ocean Technology, M.Tech Naval & Ocean Technology. Further, M.Tech Dredging, M.Sc in Marine Science and Marine Biotechnology M.Tech programs will be available as well, plus a Ph.D. degree.
Finally, within the Center of Faculty Development, some faculty members nationwide will have the opportunity to take short-term programs in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Maritime Security, Trade Finance, and others.
