Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT), Telangana offers Bachelor of technology (B.Tech) in six disciplines on the basis of candidates performance in the entrance test i.e. Engineering, Architecture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET). Allotment of seats is done by Convener, EAMCET as per the stipulated rules of Telangana State Government.

 

Candidates must have passed the Intermediate exam of Telangana State Intermediate Board or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects for admission to B.Tech.

The institute also offers a two years Masters of technology (M.Tech) program with an annual intake of 108 students. Selection to the M.Tech course is based on the candidate’s performance in the Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET). Admissions are also done on the basis of a candidate's merit in GATE.

 

Candidates should have obtained B.tech degree in the relevant field with at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category) from an AICTE/ UGC approved institution recognized by the Government of Telangana as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant M.Tech courses.

The qualifying percentage marks for obtaining a rank in TSPGECET is 25% i.e. 30 marks out of a total of 120. In case of SC/ ST candidates, there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for the candidates.

For the current academic session, GNIT offers admission to MBA program admissions based on Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET), conducted by the State Government.

 

Candidates seeking admission to MBA should have studied and passed 3-year degree program from a recognized university or its equivalent degree examination under 10+2+3 pattern as recognized by UGC. For MBA admissions, candidates must have studied Mathematics at 10th level.

In case the qualifying degree is obtained through distance mode, it should have recognition by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/ DEB.

 

Candidates appearing for the final year degree examination are also eligible to appear for TSICET.
