Indian Institute of Management Highlights

The Indian Institute of Management, in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, has established a supplementary education/resource center named SMILE (Student-Mediated Initiative for Learning to Excel) under the Gyan Shakti Marg flyover across from the IIMA Heritage Campus as part of its community outreach program. The center is intended to assist the less fortunate students who reside in and around Vastrapur, where the Institute is situated. Any student who wants to use the materials is welcome to use the center.

Indian Institute of Management has held first place among Indian B-Schools according to the NIRF since 2020. Moreover, it has held the record of ranking 43rd in the 2024 Financial Times Executive Education (Open) and IIMA Executive Education. Indian Institute of Management Courses Offered

Indian Institute of Management offers management courses both part-time and full-time for the convenience of students. This option makes those who go to jobs also to take up these courses and upgrade their skills to move forward in their careers or even switch their careers to an entirely different industry based on their studies. For a Ph.D alone, the student will have to keep on paying the fee until they graduate from the course by submitting their final thesis.

Indian Institute of Management Admission process

The admission procedure at IIM is broken down into three phases. An outline of the three steps involved in the Indian Institute of Management Admission process is as follows:

First Stage

  1. Candidates are shortlisted based on their CAT 2024 exam results.
  2. Each IIM will post a notification on the official website for candidates to apply for the WAT/GD-PI phase once the CAT results are released.

Second Stage

  1. Candidates are screened for WAT/GD-PI.
  2. Interview letters are provided to the chosen candidates to participate in the WAT-GD-PI round following the second step, which involves shortlisting the applicants based on their academic record and CAT score.

Third Stage

  1. Final Selection and Composite Score Calculation is done at this level.
  2. To make a final selection in the third round of the IIM admission, each candidate’s composite score is determined based on some criteria.

Indian Institute of Management Fees and Scholarship Details

Fees

The fee structure of the Indian Institute of Management depends upon the course the candidate chooses. However, the fee range falls under the mentioned price limit.

Scholarships

The Indian Institute of Management, Gujarat gives all candidates the chance to pursue the PGP/PGP-FABM at the institution, regardless of their financial situation. In addition to the scholarships offered by the Indian government, alumni, and businesses, IIMA also grants need-based scholarships.

IIMA Special Need-Based Scholarships
  • This scholarship is applicable to PG students whose family income falls under 15 LPA.
  • IIMA will assist the students and finalize the scholarship amount based on the needs of the student.
SC/ST Scholarships
  • For a period of ten months, postgraduate students from SC/ST backgrounds will get Rs. 150 each month.
IIMA Exit Scholarships
  • Two students from each batch will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 30,000 for a maximum of three years to encourage the graduating students to start their businesses.
  • For a maximum of three consecutive years, two students from each batch will get financial aid to help them repay a portion of the bank loans they took out to attend IIMA, in an effort to encourage students to choose careers in non-governmental organizations.
  • The annual aid amount for each student might vary from Rs. 3 to Rs. 4 lakhs.
Minority Welfare Scholarship (Merit-cum basis)
  • Awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs of the Indian government to minority students whose family income is less than Rs. 2.50 lakhs per year.
Scholarships for students with disabilities (Merit-cum basis)
  • Giving to deserving DA/PWD students whose household income is less than Rs. 6,00,000 annually.
PGP Alumni Endowment Funds
  • Nine PGP 1 and PGP/FABM II students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds get financial assistance each year, depending on their financial situation.
  • The amount that each student will be given ranges from Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 300,000.
Class of PGP 2001, Peri Viswanath Scholarship
  • The scholar will get Rs. 400,000 over the course of two years, with the amount being Rs. 200,000 annually.
Shri GC Mital Entrepreneurship Aid
  • Rs. 2 LPA is provided for students who are planning to start their own business and they should be the one who participate in PGP/PGP-FABM.
  • It is only available to students who have taken out school loans totaling at least Rs.100,000 and whose annual family income is less than Rs. 800,000.
Smt. J Nagamma Memorial Award
  • Awarded as a merit scholarship based on academic achievement to one PGP first-year student at the end of the first year.
  • A total of Rs. 15,000 will be provided.
Aditya Birla Group Scholarships
  • Approximately, three deserving PGP I and PGP II students are awarded with it.
  • An annual prize of around Rs. 175,000 is given to each student.
Dunia Scholarships for scholastic excellence
  • Two scholarships of a total of Rs. 1 Lakh.
OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship
  • Academic achievement, an online exam, and a face-to-face interview are used to make the decision.
  • Each student receives a sum of Rs. 150,000 annually.
T. Thomas Scholarship
  • A second-year student will get this scholarship from Hindustan Unilever Ltd. based on merit-cum basis.
  • Each year, the sum is Rs. 100,000.

Indian Institute of Management Campus

  2. Large national and international events may be held at the RJ Matthai Auditorium and the new auditoriums in the JSW-SPP building.
