IIM Shillong Admission 2025: Fees, Courses, Important Dates, Eligibility & Application Process

IIM Shillong offers admission to a wide range of postgraduate, doctoral, and executive courses in Management, including the PGP, PGP Working Executive, PGPEx, Doctoral Program, and Doctoral Program WP (for working professionals). The IIM Shillong fee structure varies according to the programs. The PGP, PGP Working Executive, and PGPEx fees are INR 26.18 lakh, INR 12.45 lakh, and INR 22.76 lakh. Admission to IIM Shillong is granted through the CAT exam, followed by personal interview rounds.

CAT 2025 registration will start on August 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM and will close on September 13, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Admit cards will be available for download from 5 November 5 to 30 November 2025. The CAT 2025 exam is scheduled for 30 November 2025, and the results are likely to be announced in the first week of January 2026. The CAT application fee has been revised to INR 2600 for General category candidates and INR 1300 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

IIM Shillong offers several postgraduate programs, including the PGP, PGPEx, and PGPWE.Students must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible for the PG programs. Students must have a valid score in entrance exams like CAT, GMAT or WE-MAT and appear for personal interview rounds to get selected.

IIM Shillong Ph.D Admission 2025

To be eligible for admission into IIM Shillong's doctoral programs, candidates must have completed a Master’s degree and hold valid scores in CAT/GATE/GRE/ GMAT/ JRF (UGC/CSIR). They also need to appear for personal interview rounds. For the Doctoral Program WP, candidates must have at least 10 years of work experience.

Students seeking admission to the IIM Shillong PGP must first fill out the CAT application form through the institute’s official website.

• Then click on 'New Candidate Registration' and register by using the basic details
• Log in with your ID and complete the application form.

To apply for other courses, you must visit the official website of IIM Shillong and fill out the application form.

• Go to "Program" and select the course you wish to apply for other than PGP
• Open the "Admission Process" tab
• Click on "Click here to apply now" and register your candidature with an email address and phone number.
• Fill the form with all the documents and details, and pay the application fee.

How to Register:

• Visit the official CAT website to register online.
• Use a valid and unique email ID and mobile number to start the process.
• After registering, you’ll receive a User ID and Password to log in and fill out the application form.

Key Guidelines:

• You can complete the form in multiple sessions — your progress will be saved automatically.
• Review all details carefully before submitting the application fee. No changes are allowed after payment.
• Incorrect or incomplete forms may be rejected.
• SC/ST/PwD candidates must upload valid certificates. Category changes cannot be made after registration.
• A short correction window will be available after registration closes for a limited time only.

CAT 2025 Registration Fee

• The registration fee for CAT 2025 must be paid online only.
• Candidates can choose from SBI ePay or BillDesk payment gateways.
• The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
• The application fee is required to be paid only once, regardless of the number of IIMs or other institutions candidates are applying to.
