The Career Development Cell (CDC) at IIT Bhubaneswar orchestrates the placement process, ensuring a structured and efficient experience for both students and recruiters. The process includes:

• Invitation to Companies: The Career Development Cell (CDC), comprising the Professor-in-Charge (PIC), faculty coordinators, and student representatives, sends invitations to various companies/organizations along with the relevant information and guidelines.
• Submission of Job Notification Form (JNF): Interested recruiters fill out the Job Notification Form (JNF) with all necessary details of the job profile. The form can be submitted online, via email to the PIC, or by post to the Placement Office.

• Pre-Placement Talk (PPT): If a company wishes to conduct a Pre-Placement Talk to interact with students, they may send a request to the PIC. These talks help students understand the organization, job roles, and career prospects.

• JNF Distribution to Students: The details in the JNF are made available to the students through the online placement portal and notice boards. This helps students make informed decisions regarding the job profiles.

• Student Applications: Interested students apply for the respective company through the online portal or by submitting written applications to the CDC, based on the instructions provided.

• Scheduling of Interviews: The CDC allocates dates for campus interviews in consultation with the recruiting companies. The schedule is prepared in advance and communicated to all stakeholders.

• Shortlisting of Candidates: The company accesses the resumes of interested students and shortlists candidates based on their profiles. The shortlists are shared through the placement portal or directly with the CDC.

• Campus Interviews: The company's recruitment team visits the campus on the scheduled date(s) to conduct the selection process, which may include written tests, group discussions, and personal interviews.

• Final Selection and Offers: Companies are expected to announce the final list of selected candidates on the same day of the interview. Offer letters may be handed over during the visit or sent later through email.

• The CDC maintains a centralized record of all selections.
• Once a student is selected, they may be restricted from participating in further interviews, depending on the CDC's placement policy.
