Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Science admission for UG courses will be based on the merit of Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) exams conducted by NTA and for PG courses will be based on the merit of Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG). This institute is providing full-time courses.
Admission will be based on the combined weighted average of percentage scored in the entrance test and sports proficiency where the weights are:

Admission procedure for UG
- Candidates must appear in both CUET and Performance-based test.
- Candidates must appear in CUET in any of the following subject combinations:
- Any one language from List A+ Physical Education from List B2+ any two subjects out of which one should be from List B1
- Any one language from List A+ An two subjects from List B1+ Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2
- Candidates also appear in performance-based test
- Merit will be calculated by considering the “Combined CUET score (50% weightage) and Performance-based test score (50% Weightage)”

Admission procedure for PG
- As per eligibility criteria for admission to M.P.Ed 50% weightage will be given to CUET (PG) score and 50% weightage is for the sports proficiency test.
- The Department of Physical Education will initially call 5 times the number of sanctioned seats in each category based on the CUET (PG)-score for the offline sports proficiency test.
- The sports proficiency test marks of 50% will be as per the following criteria:
- Sports certificate: 30% weightage
- Physical fitness test: 20% weightage.
- There can be a maximum of three highest sports certificates to be submitted in the CSAS (PG)- application form.
- One medical fitness certificate of the candidates should be submitted along with the application form.
