The Knowledge Institute of Technology (KIOT), located in Salem, offers a multitude of scholarships to its students. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of various criteria and are provided both by the Government of Tamil Nadu and India, as well as the KIOT Trust. These scholarships aim to support and facilitate the academic pursuits of deserving students, assisting them financially and enabling them to capitalize on the educational opportunities at KIOT.

KIT- First Graduate Scholarship

This scholarship is granted by the Tamil Nadu Government, specifically to students who are the first in their family to pursue higher education. There is no limit to the annual income of parents for eligibility. The students must gain admission through TNEA Anna University counselling to qualify.

 

KIT- BC & MBC Scholarship

This scholarship is provided to students admitted through TNEA Anna University counselling whose parents earn less than 2 lakhs annually. The scholarship amount is variable, depending on whether the student is a day scholar or a hosteller.

 

KIT- SC & ST Scholarship

The SC & ST scholarship is offered by the Tamil Nadu Government to students from the SC and ST communities. Eligibility is dependent on the income and the mode of admission of the student. The scholarship amounts to INR 40,000 per year for students admitted through TNEA Anna University counselling and INR 70,000 per year for students admitted through Management Quota.

 

KIT- Farmer Scholarship

This scholarship is aimed at assisting the offspring of farmers. The eligibility criterion for this scholarship is that the student's father must have a Farmer ID Card. The scholarship amount is INR 6,500 per year.

 

KIT- National Scholarship

This scholarship is provided to students from minority communities such as Muslims and Christians. The eligibility criterion is that the annual income of the parents must be less than 2 Lakhs. The scholarship amount is INR 25,000 per year.

 

KIT- Scholarships by KIOT Trust

The KIOT Trust provides a range of scholarships such as AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver, Merit Scholarship, Economical Backward Scholarship (EBW), Scholarship for outstanding sports persons, Scholarship for KIOT Alumni, Talent Reward Examination (TRE) based scholarship for Lateral Entry B.E students, Fee Concession for Placement Eligible Students, and Transport fee Concession for final year Students.
