K L Deemed to be University, earlier called Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering (KLCE), is a growing educational university situated in Vaddeswaram near Vijayawada of Andhra Pradesh, India. It was founded in 1980 and, in its first years, operated as an engineering college. It became an autonomous college in 2006. It was granted deemed university status in the year 2009, and the name was changed to K L University. It was earlier known as Koneru Lakshmaiah University, which was set up from UGC directives in 2017 as KLEF and in 2019 as K L Deemed to be University.
