The Centre for Career Guidance, Internship, and Placement (CCGIP) is a proposed initiative that aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry experience for students.
The centre will provide students career counselling and with opportunities to gain hands-on experience through internship, projects and placements in various industries and organisations.
Operation
The Centre for career guidance, internship and placement will operate on three levels.
Level 1: Assessment
The focus at this level is to teach the students through various aptitude tests. There are several different types of aptitude test that can be used for career guidance and placement, including-
- Cognitive aptitude tests
- Personality tests
- Internet inventories
- Skill tests, etc
Level 2:- Training and guidance
The members of the placement cell will provide training to students. To facilitate this:
- Lectures & workshops will be organised every week by faculty members, alumni, or industry experts.
- There are many projects that will be run every semester. For example, these projects can produce books, MOOCs, video content, reports, and business models.
- In future, graduating students can also be part of the centre which will significantly help in NAAC accreditation.
Level 3: Placement & Internships
The placement committee focused on building relationships with industries, companies and agencies, and NGOs to bring more and more placement and internship offers for the institution.
