Maharani Laxmi Bai Government College of Excellence, Gwalior is one of the oldest and most respected colleges in Northern India. It was started in 1846 by the rulers of the Scindia state and was first called “Lashkar Madarsa.” In 1887, it was renamed “Victoria College” to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee.
