The Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV) was established in 1968. It's located in Rahuri, Maharashtra. MPKV includes a large number of constituent colleges.

The university provides agriculture courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, doctorate, and diploma levels.

MPKV B.Sc., B.Tech., and BBA Admissions 2025

  • The university provides three undergraduate courses: B.Sc., B.Tech., and BBA. B.Sc has three specialisations, whereas B.Tech offers two.
  • The undergraduate course application process takes place online.
  • The Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth uses a merit-based selection method for undergraduate courses. Students are evaluated based on their previous academic records.

MPKV M.Sc., M.Tech., and MBA Admissions 2025

  • The university provides three postgraduate courses: M.Sc with three specialisations, M.Tech, and MBA. Students can apply for courses online.
  • Merit in the qualifying examination is used to select students for M.Sc programs.
  • Candidates for admission to M.Tech programs must have passed MCAER's Common Entrance Test (CET) in Agriculture Engineering.
  • For MBA admission, candidates must have a valid CMAT/XAT/CAT/MAT score.

Note:

  • The application is submitted online.
  • M.Sc. MBA applicants with valid MAT/CMAT/XAT/CAT scores will be selected based on merit.
  • Valid CET score for M.Tech.

 

MPKV Ph.D. Admissions 2025

  • The college provides two Ph.D. programs and has a limited number of seats available for admission each year.
  • To be eligible for the Ph.D. in Agriculture, candidates must have a degree in M.Sc. (Agri.) or M.Sc. (Hort.) from a recognised Agriculture University. To be eligible for the Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering, candidates must have an M.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering).
  • Selection is based on CSIR NET scores.

 

MPKV Application Process.

The application process for PG and Ph.D. courses is online, however the process for undergraduate courses is offline.

To apply for admission online, candidates must visit the official MCAER website. Students should follow the steps below:

  • Visit the official website of the MCAER.
  • In the Admissions section, select the Online Application tab.
  • Click the Apply Now button and complete the application form with all essential information.
  • If you need to make any changes to the application form, click the Save button. If everything is correct, click the Submit button.

To finish the application process, candidates must pay the registration cost of INR 600 (INR 300 for reserved category candidates) via Challan at State Bank of India branches or by debit card, credit card, or net banking. Candidates can submit the fee through a Demand Draft (DD) issued in favour of 'Financial Advisor, MCAER, Pune'.

Candidates should take a printout of their completed application form and return it to the following address via post or courier service, along with all self-attested copies of their required documents and a recent passport size photograph.

Offline Process

  • For the offline method, candidates can get the prospectus and application form from the official MCAER website.
  • Along with their completed applications, aspirants must submit an application fee of INR 600 (INR 300 for SC/ST/OBC) via Net Banking, DD, or Challan at a State Bank of India branch. DDs should be written in favour of Financial Advisor, MCAER, Pune and payable in Pune.
  • A printout of the completed application, along with a current passport-sized photograph and any other applicable papers, must be forwarded to any of the institution's Application Receipt Centres. Candidates must submit an application form, together with the following self-attested documents:
  • Mark sheet/Grade card of the qualifying exams
  • School/college (last attended) Leaving Certificate
  • In the event that a candidate is admitted under the ICAR quota, they must provide a genuine certificate.
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile Certificate or Residential Certificate
  • Caste certificate, if applicable.
  • 'Non-Creamy Layer Certificate' issued on or after April 1, 2015, or valid up to the date of submission of the application form
  • Certificate of 'Project Affected Person' provided by the District Resettlement Officer of the Government of Maharashtra. N.C.C. 'B' or 'C' / Air, Naval, or Army wing. Certificate
  • The District Sports Officer issues a certificate of games, sports, debate, essay, and elocution.
  • A certificate from the applicant's parents as a freedom fighter, signed by the Honourable Prime Minister or Chief Minister of Maharashtra State.
  • The following certificates are required: N.S.S. Certificate from the Competent Authority, Defence Personnel Certificate from Zilla Sainik Board, 'No-Objection Certificate' from the Employer for Inservice Candidates, Migrant/Displaced students from Jammu and Kashmir State, Certificate of Handicapped issued by the Competent Authority (if applicable), and Economically Backward Class (EBC) Certificate issued on or after January 1, 2015.

Note: Candidates who have completed 10+2 with Agriculture Polytechnic must submit two forms. Agriculture Polytechnic marks should be connected to one copy, and 12th-grade marks should be placed in the second form.
