NITTE College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (NCOPS) in Bangalore, established in 2018 affiliated with Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Applying to the NITTE College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (NCOPS), Bangalore for 2025 has a simple online process. Any candidates will have no issue following the instructions and steps below in following the application process in a simple straightforward manner.
There are 2 specializations available at NCOPS under the M.Pharm degree, namely Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology. Both degree Programs will be for 2 years, which will cover advanced pharmaceutical sciences and related topics including drug formulation, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and research methods. Admission will typically be drawn from a merit basis and we will prefer GPAT to select the students.
Candidates need to apply through the official website, ncops-pharmacy.nitte.edu.in . After filling the relevant application form the candidate will be required to upload the required documents, pay the application for and submit the application form online. When applications have been submitted, students will be shortlisted and called for counselling and allotment of seats.
NCOPS 2025 admissions will typically start in April. The last date for applications would typically be in June 2025 to enable GPAT 2025 which occurs in May. GPAT merits will be for June, with counselling and allotment of openly available seats expected in July and classes commencing in August.
The B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) program at NCOPS is three years in duration. For eligibility to enter the program, candidates are required to have completed a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) with 45% marks in any form. Admission to the B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) is direct entry, without any entrance test, and is based on the D.Pharm results.
Graduates from NCOPS may work in many roles such as in pharmaceutical companies, research and development, clinical trials, drug safety, quality assurance, drug companies' sales division, and many others may follow with higher education in Pharm.D, M.Pharm, or even an MBA in Healthcare Management, to expand and broaden their career choice options.
NCOPS maintains strong links with industry stakeholders and has provided over 120 internships in 2023 alone. Students are able to gain valuable experience in real pharmaceutical environments while obtaining practical training to re-visit the theoretical side. Internships also assist students engage with industry professionals, create a personal network and improve employment opportunities at graduation.
NCOPS offers excellent academics, with placement record of 90%, with average package of ₹3.5 LPA and all the top healthcare recruiters (Cipla and Biocon). Although Manipal and JSS Mysuru are older colleges and have marginally better placement records, NCOPS is emerging rapidly and has better exposure, and modern infrastructure.
GPAT qualified candidates are preferred, but GPAT is not a requirement for admission in M.Pharm at NCOPS, subject to merit and based on the merit in their B.Pharm degree. Only that, GPAT qualified candidates will be given priority during the counseling process, and thus quality for scholarship program as well.
The average placement package for the year 2023 was ₹3.2 LPA, and the highest package for the 2023 batch was ₹7.5 LPA. Though NCOPS is still developing its reputation, what is aiding in the placement of NCOPS students in both UG and PG programs is the increasing corporate tie ups and placements over the years.
