Raiganj University, which is among the leading universities of West Bengal, is a world-class educational institution that aims to meet the higher educational requirements of the citizens of North Bengal. It was set up on February 3, 2015, and inherits the legacy of Raiganj College (University College), established in 1948, with a history of 70 years. The university is based in Uttar Dinajpur, which is a backward district of West Bengal and has a rural economy base, extending to the marginalized groups of people, as more than 70% of its population are agriculture and allied activity-dependent. Raiganj University Admission Process 2025

Raiganj University admissions are on merit basis. Raiganj University has three affiliated institutions, namely Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (EIILM), Gourav Institute of Management Science, and Durapur Women's College (DWC), which conduct general and honours degree courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses are offered in two categories: Aided and Self-financed, with the latter being conducted during evening shifts. Admission to self-financed programmes involves separate application by candidates, and the merit list of these courses is prepared separately. For the majority of courses, admission is based on the merit secured in the qualifying examination, but for the MBA programme, admission is based on the performance in an entrance test.

Step 1: Application Process. Applicants for admission to courses have to submit the application form online through the official portal of the university. The students had to take the entrance examination conducted by testing agencies.

Step 2: Selection Criteria

Raiganj University admissions are solely through entrance examination performance. The university admits students on the basis of different national and university level entrance examinations, viz CMAT/MAT/CAT/ATMA/JMAT/XAT designed for certain courses. Individuals with valid score in these tests will be called for the following counselling process.

Step 3: Final Seat Allotment

After the process of counselling is complete, shortlisted candidates have to finish the last steps of admission, document verification, and payment of tuition fees, to confirm their selected seats.
