Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET), Chittorgarh is a new college that started in the year 2009. It is located on a big campus that covers 10 acres of land. RIET Chittorgarh is approved by AICTE and affiliated with Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota. Right now, around 187 students study here, and there are 97 teachers to guide them.
RIET tries to make learning fun and useful for all students. Each course has its own laboratory where students can do experiments and learn practical skills. The college also has a library, which is called the Information Center. It has about 1,000 books and many magazines and journals that both students and teachers can read.
For students who live far from the college, there are separate hostel buildings for boys and girls. These hostels have the basic things students need to live comfortably. RIET also has buses to help students travel to and from the college. Some cars are also available for the teachers and staff.
The college offers two types of engineering courses — B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) and Diploma. There are 5 B.Tech courses which take 4 years to complete. These include Computer Science, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The Diploma courses take 3 years and are available in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering.
Getting into the B.Tech program depends on the marks students get in their 12th-grade exams or their score in the JEE Main exam, which is a national-level test for engineering students. For Diploma courses, students are selected through a central process managed by the Director of Technical Education in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
