The Regional Institute of Education, also known as RIE is a part of the National Council of Educational Research and Training, New Delhi. In 1963, the Government of India established the RIEs in four regions that encompassed different states. The college provides undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in M.Ed., B.Ed., and four-year integrated BA-B.Ed. and B.Sc-B.Ed. Additionally, the institute provides the Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling also known as DGC. Every student who applies to RIE, Bhopal must be from one of the following states: Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Daman & Diu, or Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The Common Entrance Examination administered by NCERT, is used to admit students to the Regional Institute of Education Bhopal. Candidates for undergraduate programs such as B.Sc.-B.Ed. and B.A.-B.Ed. must have earned at least 50% of points in their 10+2 coursework (45% for reserved categories). Candidates who have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% of the possible points for postgraduate programs like the M.Ed. Merit-based shortlisting based on CEE results precedes counselling sessions as part of the selection process. RIE Admission 2025

Candidates must apply online via the RIE Bhopal's official website. The scores obtained in the NCERT-conducted Common Entrance Examination (CEE) are used to select students for all programs. In order to be admitted to RIE Bhopal, candidates must register online for the NCERT-conducted Regional Institute of Education Common Entrance Examination (RIE CEE).

How to apply for RIE admission?

• Visit RIE Bhopal official website to complete the application.
• The application fee can be paid manually (using an SBI challan) or online (using a debit card, credit card, or net-banking).
• Candidates must take a printout of the completed RIE CEE application form and mail it to the address listed on the form once payment has been made.

RIE Scholarship 2025

Scholarships will be given to all students from Scheduled Castes and Tribes who are accepted into the Institute, provided they are not receiving any other financial aid. According to the regulations, up to 50% of the remaining students would receive merit-cum-means scholarships.

• Hostel: The Institute houses all of its students in four well-equipped dorms. About 500 students can be accommodated in the four hostels together. Boys' and girls' hostels are separate. Every hostel has a mess, and the food that is supplied to students follows a set menu.
• Each of the following subjects has its own laboratory: physics, chemistry, zoology, botany, mathematics, geography, and psychology.
