Regional Institute of Education Mysore Admission 2025: Courses, Application Process

RIE Mysore provides two 4-year integrated degree programs at the undergraduate level, such as B.Sc.Ed. and BA.Ed. The institute provides M.Ed. and M.Sc.Ed. programs at the postgraduate level. For qualified applicants who have finished their Master's degree program, RIE Mysore also offers Ph.D. programs. The University Grants Commission New Delhi has approved all of the institute's courses. Applicants of both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees must use NCERT-CEE exclusively and for Ph.D. program applications are submitted offline. The application form must be picked up from the institute's campus by candidates.

Candidates in the reserved category and in-service who have worked as teachers, librarians, or physical education instructors in educational institutions for three years are exempt from the minimum score requirements. Candidates must have completed their 10+2 in a relevant field to be eligible for UG programs, while PG candidates need to hold a graduate degree in the appropriate field. The CEE score (60% weightage) and the total marks (related subjects) earned in the most recent qualifying test (40% weightage) are used to choose candidates. When there is a tie, the applicant's age is given more weight than the Teaching Aptitude Test result. Applicants for the Ph.D. program may also have a Master's degree from an accredited university or institution.

B.Sc.Ed. and B.A.Ed. are two four-year integrated undergraduate programs offered by the Regional Institute of Education, Mysore. RIEM PG Admission 2025

The institute provides PG level courses in which they provide three M.Sc.Ed. specialisations (Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics) in addition to an M.Ed. program. A B.Ed. degree with 50% of the possible points is the minimum eligibility for entrance to the M.Ed. program. The M.Ed. the program is open for graduates of the B.A.Ed., B.Sc.Ed., and M.Sc.Ed. programs as long as they have earned at least 50% of their possible points. The minimal eligibility requirement for candidates pursuing an M.Sc.Ed. program is earning at least 50% of the possible points on the 10+2/Pre-University exam (Science stream). The institution offers doctoral-level Ph.D. programs in education. To be eligible for a Ph.D., an applicant must have earned a Master's degree with at least 55% in any field. For UG & PG

The NCERT Common Entrance Exam (CEE) and its associated counselling, by which students can be admitted to the undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs (apart from Ph.D.) provided by the Regional Institute of Education, Mysore. The following is the comprehensive application procedure via NCERT CEE:

• Applicants must register online at the NCERT CEE website to be considered for admission to these programs.
• Because the conducting authority delivers usernames and passwords via email and SMS, a working email address and cellphone number are required for this reason.
• Following receipt of their login credentials, candidates must go to the CEE website and complete the online application form by providing the necessary basic information.
• After the application form is submitted, the basic information section cannot be edited or corrected further.
• The candidate must then select the state or UT under which they want to apply and the exam location of their choice.
• Before uploading scanned copies of their signature and photo, the candidate must first select the program they want to enrol in and then provide their educational information.
• The next step is to pay the application fee, which can be done online with internet banking or a credit/debit card.
• Candidates must print an e-challan and deposit the money at any HDFC bank in their area to make an offline payment.
• The candidate must keep a printout of the entire application for use in future correspondence.
• At the time of admission, candidates who pass the CEE must bring a copy of the printout to their respective RIEs, along with photocopies of all pertinent marksheets.

For Ph.D

• To get admission into Ph.D. programs, candidates must first pass an entrance exam administered by the institution, which is followed by an in-person interview.
• The application form is available on the institute campus for potential candidates.
• Depending on available spots in the field, Ph.D. admissions are held twice a year in March and September.
