Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) is one of the affiliated colleges of Delhi University. The college offers UG courses in Arts, Commerce and Science. At postgraduate level, the college offers only one M.Com course. Admission to UG courses is based on CUET UG scores and CUET PG for admission to PG courses. Afterwards, candidates must register for the centralized DU CSAS seat allocation process.
Established in 1967, SBSC is a coeducational college. NAAC is accredited with SBSC a Grade 'A' and a CGPA score of 3.26 on a 4-point scale. Besides, SBSC has been ranked at 5th position among all Delhi University colleges with a full 10 out of 10 score for its highly qualified and experienced faculty team.
SBSC provides modern infrastructure facilities that include a fully computerized library, computer lab, Geography lab, Mathematics Lab, playground for indoor and outdoor games, etc. To enhance knowledge, skills and competency that would help aspirants face the challenges of the modern business world, the college has provided the students with a fully computerised library equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
The placement and training cell of the SBSC provides various training sessions, such as pre-placement presentations, for the students. It prepares them with entrepreneurial and managerial skills for campus interviews. The cell has a remarkable placement record. During the 2022 placement drive, the highest salary package was offered at INR 23 LPA & the average package stood at INR 4.35 LPA.
The college offers awards and different financial aid to students through medals and scholarships. An amount of INR 3000 is awarded to the meritorious students.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College Admission Process
Shaheed Bhagat Singh College admission to UG and PG courses is based on scores obtained in the CUET examination. The admission process includes appearing for the CUET examination and then appearing in the CSAS seat allotment. Registration for admission to the college starts after CUET result declarations. Candidates must select Delhi University while filling out the CUET application. They can register themselves on the DU CSAS portal and choose preferences. The entire selection process is done via the DU CSAS portal for UG and PG courses in multiple rounds. The SBSC admission procedure is as follows:
Step 1: Appear for the Entrance Examination

Step 2: Registration on DU CSAS Portal and Filling of Courses and College Preferences
Candidates who qualify for the entrance examination must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal of Delhi University for seat allotment. Once the registration is done, candidates will be asked to fill in their college and course preferences.
Step 3: Seat Allocation
The seat allocation will be done in multiple rounds for all programs. Seats are allocated based on scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) or other national-level tests, combination of college and program chosen, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats.
Step 4: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission
Candidates can check their seat allotment results by logging into Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) dashboard. Upon acceptance of a seat, the university will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the fees.

- Founder Principal Dr. M.P.Thakore Gold Medal for the Best Boy Student of the college: This award is given to the best boy student of third-year college classes.
- Jagrani Devi Saxena Gold Medal: It is awarded to a third-year female student enrolled based on SC/ST concession.
- Department of Commerce M.Com. Gold Medal: It is awarded to a student who has passed M.Com. (Final) securing maximum aggregate marks but not less than 70% marks.
- Shaheed Bhagat Singh College Silver Medal for B.A (H) Geography: This scholarship is for the student who has passed B.A.(H) Geography in the third year, securing second highest aggregate marks.
