There are a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati and have different selection procedures. Candidates who have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English are eligible for such undergraduate programs such as MBBS and should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories). NEET-UG admissions are based on scores. B.Sc Allied Health Sciences, BPT and B.Sc Nursing students must have passed 10+2, with science subject, and shall also fulfill certain subject requirements. Postgraduate courses like MD/ MS need MBBS from a recognized institution and qualifying marks in NEET PG whereas M. Sc courses need a relevant undergraduate degree in the concerned field with minimum aggregate score most of the time accompanied by entrance tests or merit-based evaluation. Candidates need an MD/MS in the concerned subject and must be NEET SS qualified. SVIMS candidates may need equivalent qualifications and conform to SVIMS-specific guidelines for international or NRI candidates.

Candidates seeking admission at SVIMS, Tirupati, for the year 2025 will have to appear in national / state-level entrance tests as per the norms of the course.
