The Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC), established in the year 1983, is a Grant-in-Aid Autonomous College affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The college was awarded the status of ‘College with potential for excellence’ by University Grants Commission (UGC) in April 2016.
Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce was Reaccredited with an ’A’ and a 3.51 CGPA for third cycle by NAAC.
Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce offers four-year programs in Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts under NEP 2020 as well as 2 year program in Master of Commerce. Master of Arts in English/ Economics/ Psychology. Additionally , they provide Diploma and Certificate courses in Liberal Arts, through the Symbiosis Centre for Liberal Arts (SCLA), the students can pursue a BCom/ BA with honours degree or BCom/ BA with research degree.

Admission
The admission will be based on Merit and as per the reservation policy of Govt. of Maharashtra. The college also admits foreign students to the extent of 15% of intake capacity under the super numeric quota.
The admission process will start after the declaration of 12th standard results of various boards like HSC/ CBSE/ ICSE etc.
Students have to register by filling pre-merit application forms online. The form will be available on the college website.

Step 2: fill the pre-merit application form
- While filling the pre-merit application form, students have to enter total marks secured of all subjects and other required information.
Step 3: upload the required documents
- The student has to upload all the required documents like marksheet, transfer certificate, caste certificate and other relevant documents required for various quotas.
Step 4: Pay the application fee
- Pay the pre-merit processing charges through online payment mode only.
Admission procedure if the student’s name appear in the merit list:
- The student will get intimation on his/her registered email ID for being selected in the Merit List.
- The student should fill the online admission form and submit it online.
- The college staff will check the uploaded documents and allocate optional subjects, on the basis of students’ preferences and availability of seats for the subject and approve the admission form.
- The student gets mail from college with a link to pay the college fees. Students should pay the college fees for the entire academic year.
Eligibility
Eligibility requirement for progressing to higher years in B.Com and BA programs. Students must achieve a minimum aggregate score – 65% for B.Com and 60% for BA – in their first year to be eligible for the subsequent year.

- The placement cell assigns a students coordinator to each company.

The Symbiosis Hostel Model Colony, located on the English Language Teaching Institute of Symbiosis Campus, is a facility for all girls who came to study at Symbiosis Pune.
