Eligibility for B.Arch requires passing 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics, or holding a 10+3 diploma with mathematics. In comparison, B.Design candidates must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 50%. 

SSPAD Admission Process

The admission process at Symbiosis School of Planning, Architecture, and Design (SSPAD) for the year 2025 is systematic, merit-based, and web-based. Interested applicants who wish to secure admission to B.Des or B.Arch programmes need to undergo a series of steps from online registration to the start of classes. The selection process weeds out applicants based on a series of parameters, ranging from performance in the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) to the quality of their portfolio and the outcome of personal interactions. For B.Arch admissions, passing NATA or JEE Paper 2 is compulsory, and candidates must comply with the respective deadlines of these qualifying examinations. Each step of the process, from registration and fee payment to uploading documents and interaction, is online, making it convenient and transparent for all candidates.

Step-by-Step Application Process

1. Online Registration: Candidates should register online at www.sspad.edu.in starting from August 16, 2024. The last date for registering and paying the application fee for both SEED and SSPAD is January 1, 2025.
2. SEED Admit Card: Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) admit cards are available for download from January 8 to January 10, 2025.
3. SEED Mock Test: Mock tests have been scheduled for January 9 and 10, 2025, to familiarise aspirants with the test pattern.
4. SEED Exam: The SEED will be administered online on Sunday, January 12, 2025, for 60 minutes, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
5. Result Announcement: SEED results announcement will be made on January 17, 2025.
6. Shortlist for PRPI: The shortlisted applicants for Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) will be announced on January 21, 2025.
7. PRPI Slot Reservation: Shortlisted applicants should book slots for their Interaction between January 21 and January 29, 2025.
8. PRPI Admit Card: PRPI admit cards will be issued starting from March 21, 2025.
9. Portfolio Upload: Students are welcome to start uploading their portfolios from March 27, 2025.
10. PRPI Phases: Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction shall be conducted in two phases:

Phase 1: 28–30 March, 2025

Phase 2: 11–13 April 2025

1. Merit List Declaration: The first merit list will be released on April 21, 2025.
2. Fees Payment and Registration: The shortlisted candidates in the first merit list are required to pay fees and register from April 21 to May 2, 2025, online for the program.
3. Programme Commencement: The academic session is tentatively scheduled to commence in July 2025. All processes, from registration to fee payment and document upload, are online. The process is merit-based and considers SEED marks, portfolio quality, and individual interaction performance. The NATA or JEE Paper II must be cleared for B.Arch admissions, and students need to follow the respective deadlines for the tests.
