Translational Health Science and Technology Institute was established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India in 2009 as a premier autonomous research institute aiming to realize scientific breakthroughs into tangible healthcare solutions. THSTI, located in the NCR Biotech Science Cluster in Faridabad, covers an area of about 10 acres in far-sighted translational research. The institute has an active track record of more than 150 annual projects working with leading national and global health organizations, such as WHO, CEPI, IAVI, etc. It has made its contribution in the area of the development of diagnostic kits, new vaccines and therapeutic interventions for diseases including COVID-19, tuberculosis and dengue. The THSTI has cutting-edge infrastructure, clinical trial expertise and regulatory support and fills a critical gap between lab discoveries and the lives of millions of Indians and people of resource-limited regions.

The Translational Health Science and Technology Institute currently has ongoing specialized programs with the objective of undertaking biomedical research and healthcare innovation. Open to graduates in MBBS, BDS, or BAMS; total fees vary for each course. P.hd. Program having a duration of 3– 5 years thereafter after JNU/JU norms. THSTI also offers short-term training to undergraduate and postgraduate students from Public and Private Universities upon monthly or fixed fees and waiving of the fees for SC/ST candidates. The THSTI admission process for the year 2025 is online via the official portal. Postgraduate or doctoral program candidates need a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree (like B.Sc, M.Sc, MBBS, M.Tech or equivalent) from a recognized university with a minimum passing mark of at least 55% or above. Valid scores in national level exams of GATE, CSIR UGC NET, DBT JRF or some equivalent are to be made valid for Ph.D. programs. The process involves an entrance test and a personal interview process among the shortlisted candidates. Finally, candidates are selected on a merit basis and selected candidates have to do document verification and have to pay the admission fee within schedule..
