The eligibility criteria for different fields at the university are as follows: In the Faculty of Science, applicants must have passed the higher secondary examination with Mathematics as a subject in the science group. Their selection is based on the total marks obtained in the higher secondary exam plus marks in their field of study.

Placement
The college has a placement and guidance cell with a faculty member as its convenor. The cell has been able to arrange campus interviews by leading national and multinational companies and students have got placement over the last year period. The cell also conducts awareness classes for the students on placement opportunities.
The placement cell assist students in appearing for job interviews and examination by the private and multinational companies in India. The cell also provides students counselling and through personality development initiatives.

Scholarship
There is no any scholarship provided by the college, but all students belonging to scheduled castes, schedules tribe, Kudumbi, Other backward communities and christians converts from then securing admission to the college will be given concession. They will be given the following concession:
- Full fee concession the students will not be required to pay any fees.
- A lump sum grant for purchase of books and dress
- A monthly stipend of Rs. 315 to students coming from places beyond 8 km of the college and Rs. 270 to those coming from places within 8 kms. Of the college.
