M.Tech Production Technology Admission Process 2025

Admission to M.Tech Production Technology is done through merit, or by entrance tests prepared and administered by the Necessary Authority. The following are the guidelines for the VTU admission process:

 

Step 1: Must possess a B.E or B Tech in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks.

 

Step 2: You will apply with a valid GATE score, if you don't have one you will need to take Karnataka PGCET or VTU entrance test (VTU will announce).

 

Step 3: You will fill out online when applicable in VTU or centralized Karnataka portal with all of the details.

 

Step 4: Most qualified candidates will be notified for an interview or call for counseling rounds based on the merit, entrance tests and marks.

 

Step 5: Merit list will be based on GATE scores followed by PGCET or internal tests scores.

 

Step 6: Selected candidates will need to validate documents and pay relevant admission fees to be enrolled in the program.
