UPSEE UPCET is known as Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination. It is conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Uttar Pradesh, and is a state-level entrance examination. UPSEE exam is conducted for admission into various UG and PG courses in engineering, management, pharmacy, architecture, and other fields provided by colleges and Universities in Uttar Pradesh.

UPSEE UPCET 2025
The Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Test (UPSEE), now renamed UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test), is a gateway to pursuing various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, and other fields offered by participating colleges and universities in Uttar Pradesh.
The UPSEE exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and is conducted offline (pen and paper-based). The syllabus for the exam is based on the curriculum of the qualifying examination (10+2 level for undergraduate courses) and covers subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and General Awareness.
Candidates who qualify for the UPSEE exam are eligible for admission to various courses in affiliated institutions of AKTU government-aided institutions and other private institutions in Uttar Pradesh.

UPSEE UPCET 2025 Application process
The UPSEE (UPCET) 2025 application form is online on the official website. This exam is conducted only offline once a year. Appearing candidates for the final semester/year of examination of the said qualifying degree course during the Academic year 2023-2024 may also apply to the UPSEE (UPCET) 2025 examination.
Other state candidates can also appear for the UPSEE examination, but the admitting authority/ University will stipulate the eligibility criteria conditions.
How to apply
Step 1: Candidates register themselves on the portal online via visiting the official website of the authority by using personal and required information, including name, date of birth, email ID, and password.
Step 2: Login the website using their email I.D. and password. They must provide details such as the UPSEE (UPCET) 2025 test, personal information, address, and academic background.
Step 3: Candidates must upload their photographs and signatures in the proper format and the required documents.

For Undergraduate Course
- Candidates must have passed the 12th level from any recognized board.
- Candidates have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination.
- Students must pass their qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics/ Biology as mandatory subjects and any Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subjects.
For Postgraduate Course
- Candidates required to completed their undergraduate studies at any recognized university.
- Candidates have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (40%for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination.
For MCA Course
- Candidates have completed their graduation degree from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Students must have Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the 12th or graduate level to be eligible to apply.
- The aggregate marks will be 50% marks (45% marks for the SC/ST category) must be obtained in the graduation degree to apply.

UPSEE (UPCET) 2025 Exam Pattern
The eight examinations in the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination, or UPSEE (UPCET), include varying subject combinations. Candidates are free to select the paper based on their preferred course. Except for the drawing aptitude test in Paper 3, it is an offline test with an objective multiple-choice question paper. Each correct response earns candidates +4 points. Negative marking is not present in UPSEE (UPCET).

UPSEE (UPCET) 2025 Exam Medium

UPSEE (UPCET) 2025 Counselling process
The UPSEE 2025 counseling process will be run by Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC). Candidates meeting the qualifying requirements will be permitted to participate in UPCET Counseling 2025, provided they have valid ranks or scores from national-level admission exams.
Step 1: Registration and payment of tuition fees
Candidates will have to log in to the website to register, and then have to fill in their choice of college and courses. After counselling candidates should have to pay the tuition fees through the epay facility.
Step 2: Reporting at the allotted institute
Candidates will have to report to the institute on the mentioned date and time allotted. Candidates will have to carry the necessary documents for the verification process.
Step 3: Allotment of seats
The seats will be allocated to the candidates based on their merit, choice filling, and availability of seats. An allotment letter will be given to the candidates and candidates will have to pay the remaining tuition fees before the last date to confirm their seats to get admission to the allotted institute.
