The Consortium of National Law Universities is set to release the notification regarding the CLAT 2026 exam schedule at any time. Candidates will be able to check the schedule for UG/PG exams through the official website http://consortiumofnlus.ac.in, once it is released. It is expected that the notification can be released within a couple of days, so candidates are requested to visit the official website more often.
The officials have not yet announced the CLAT 2026 exam date, but it is expected to be held in the first or second week of December of this year.
CLAT 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the registration of the CLAT 2026 exam, the candidates must ensure that they possess all the required eligibility criteria. Here is the list of required CLAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examinations from a recognised board.
- The candidate must have passed their 10+2 with a required percentage of marks. For the General category, the required percentage of marks is 45%, while for the SC/ST/PwD category, the minimum required percentage is 40%.
- There is no age limit.
CLAT 2026: Documents Required
The candidate has to submit several documents while registering for the CLAT exam for verification. Here is the list of documents that are required to be submitted by the candidate:
- Valid ID (Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Driving License)
- Valid EMAIL ID
- Valid Mobile Number
- Address Proof
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
- Relevant documents for PwD or BPL Candidates
- Documents with specifications
- For a passport-size photograph, the size of the file should be within 500 KB and in JPG/JPEG format.
- For signature, the size of the file should be within 100 KB and in JPG/JPEG format.
- The State Domicile Certificate, the maximum file size should be 2 MB and should be in PDF format.

CLAT 2026: Marking Scheme
The Consortium of National Law Universities follows a prescribed marking scheme while evaluating the results. Here is the marking scheme that is followed for the CLAT 2026 exam:
- For each correct answer, a +1 mark will be awarded.
- For each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of -0.25 marks.
