Bt cotton has an insecticidal property which is a type of protein. Explanation: Bt cotton has an insecticidal property due to a protein called Bt toxin, produced by the bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis. This protein is genetically introduced into cotton plants. The Bt toxin protein kills certain insects by disrupting their gut cells, thus acting as a natural insecticide. Therefore, the insecticidal property of Bt cotton is a type of protein.
