The Treaty of Versailles was based on Woodrow Wilson’s Fourteen points. Explanation: The Treaty of Versailles was heavily influenced by U.S. President Woodrow Wilson’s Fourteen Points, which outlined principles for peace after World War I. Wilson’s ideas aimed to promote self-determination, free trade, disarmament, and the establishment of the League of Nations to maintain global peace. However, the final treaty included harsher measures against Germany, such as territorial losses and reparations, reflecting the demands of France and Britain, which sought to weaken Germany significantly.
