Alluvial soil Explanation: Ex situ or ex-situ soil means transported soil, not formed in its present location. Alluvial soil is transported and deposited by rivers, especially prevalent in the Northern Plains, including areas near Patna. Other soils like black, red, and laterite are in-situ (formed in place). Hence, alluvial soil is ex situ soil near Patna.
