CAT Registration date extended till September 20, 2025 (5 P.M.). Earlier, IIM Kozhikode set CAT Registration deadline till September 13, 2025. The registration portal opened on August 1, 2025. All the eligible candidates can apply at iimcat.ac.in. To conclude the application process, general category aspirants are required to pay INR 2,600 (INR 1300 for Reserved Candidates). The registration fees differ across categories. After the registration window closes, the authority will open the correction window. CAT 2025 Exam is going to take place on November 30, 2025.

CAT Eligibility 2025
Before filling out the CAT Registration 2025 form, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria. To check CAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria, candidates should refer to the section below:
- Academic Qualification: Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised institution.
- Minimum Marks: The exam authority has set the minimum eligibility requirements at 50% in graduation for general candidates (45% for reserved candidates).
- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for the candidates
- Work Experience: It’s optional for the candidates.

CAT Registration 2025 Guidelines
CAT registration is a multi-step process. Following the step-by-step guide below, candidates can fill out the registration form:
Step 1: Registration to Generate User ID and Password
Visiting the official website of IIM CAT, candidates need to click on ‘Register’ under New Candidate Registration. Clicking on that tab, a new registration form will open.
To complete the CAT 2025 registration, candidates must first generate an OTP. Upon clicking on the ‘Generate OTP’ button, candidates will be redirected to a CAPTCHA. After solving the CAPTCHA, the OTP received on the registered mobile number has to be entered for verification.
Details to be entered in the registration form:
- Name of Candidate: Should be the same as mentioned in the Class 10/SSC certificate.
- Date of Birth: Candidates must pick correctly using the calendar icon.
- Email Address: A valid and unique email ID is required. All communication, including the User ID, will be sent to this email. (For overseas candidates, both User ID and Password will be sent only to the registered email ID.)
- Mobile Number: Must be valid and unique. The OTP for verification and the login password will be sent via SMS to this number.
- Indian numbers should be 10 digits.
- International numbers should include the country code, without special characters like (0), +, or –.
OTP Verification
After generating the OTP and solving the CAPTCHA, candidates must enter the OTP received and click on ‘Validate OTP.’ Once validated, candidates can submit the registration form. The User ID and Password will then be sent to the registered email and mobile number (for overseas candidates, both credentials will be shared only through email).
CAPTCHA Requirement
A CAPTCHA will appear on the screen with a set of characters. Candidates must retype these characters in the given box. If the text is unclear, the ‘Get new image ' option can be used to refresh it.
Declaration
Before submitting the form, candidates must tick the ‘I Agree’ checkbox in the Declaration section. This confirms that the information provided is correct and truthful. Submitting false details can result in cancellation of candidature or disqualification from the admission process. Accepting the declaration is mandatory to proceed with submission.
Step 2: Login
Now, candidates have the system-generated User ID and Password. Using that ID and password, candidates can log in by clicking on the login button. After successful login, the Applicant Details page will be displayed on the screen. Candidates can review their personal details that will be displayed on the page. Next to Personal Details, a link “GO TO APPLICATION” is available. Click this link to go to the application page.
Step 3: Fill the CAT 2025 Application Form
CAT 2025 application form has six tabs, i.e., i) Personal Details, ii) Academics, iii) Work Experience, iv) Programmes, v)Test City, and vi) Declaration. Aspirants must fill in every section with their personal information, then upload documents such as photo, signature, and category certificates, etc.. Academic details from Class 10 onwards, along with bachelor’s, master’s, or professional degrees (if applicable), must be filled as per official rules. Only full-time post-graduation work experience is valid. In the final stage, candidates need to pay the application fee based on their category.
Wrapping Up
CAT registration window is closing soon. Candidates who have not registered yet must register before the deadline. Once the registration window closes, candidates will not be allowed to register again. However, the authority will allow to make edits through the correction window.
