Parul University recently held "Chrysalis Dreams 2026," a yearly degree show put together by the Parul Institute of Fine Arts. It was a great opportunity for final year Bachelor of Visual Arts students to put their work out there and show what they have been building over the years. The event created an unforgettable experience for everyone who attended and gave these young artists the recognition they truly deserved.
The show featured paintings and sculptures from students of the Department of Painting and Sculpture. Each piece was personal, coming straight from the student's own experiences and stories. Some of the artists who displayed their work were Htein Lin, Vaishnavi Sahu, Prutha Morsania, Sania Memon, Anushka Chavan, Kirti Gautam, Gauri Chauhan, Devyanshi Chauhan, Mansi Rajpurohit, Sahil Parmar, and Syed Zaheen Abid, among others.
The works touched on themes like identity, memories, emotions, spaces, and human experiences. Each piece had something different to say, and it was clear that a lot of thought and hard work had gone into every single one of them. Students spent long hours in their studios, working with modern art ideas and theories to bring their creative visions to life as honestly as possible.
Parul Patel, Vice President and Chairperson of Student Affairs and Administration at Parul University, shared her thoughts on the event. She said that these artworks do not just show talent; they also show the bravery of students who were willing to think deeply, ask questions, and push themselves to grow. Every piece, she added, tells a story that comes from real life and real experience.
Parul University has always tried to give its students a space to express themselves and connect with the world outside the classroom. Events like "Chrysalis Dreams 2026" are a good example of that commitment, turning years of classroom learning into something the world can actually see and feel. It goes to show how much the university supports young artists as they find their footing and move forward in the art world.
