India’s first AI-Augmented Multidisciplinary University, Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, during the SynHERgy: AI-Driven Innovation for Women Empowerment Event, has taken a historic step towards creating a progressive, inclusive, and technologically future for women in the state. The university hosted a major and most significant event by welcoming the Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji, as the chief guest, officially launched the NARI Scheme (Nurturing AI Revolution for Inclusion - Women in Tech), a program aimed at creating a women-led technological revolution in Uttar Pradesh. In addition to this, she also opened the Centre of Universal Business and Entrepreneurship, & high-tech Girls' Hostel on the campus.
The Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, during the event, said that ‘the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, where Nari Shakti is one of the four pillars of the vision as stipulated by Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. By keeping in line with this mission, Chandigarh University Lucknow has invested in providing women with start-up, research, healthcare, academic, and AI-driven innovation opportunities - ensuring that women have been at the core of the state-level digital development.

Launch of CUBE - Centre for Universal Business and Entrepreneurship
In a quest to enhance its endeavors to promote women-based entrepreneurship, Chandigarh University, UP’s Centre for Universal Business and Entrepreneurship - CUBE, has been inaugurated by the Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh. This program is aimed at helping ideas take a startup step with Capital mobilization, incubation assistance, and a special 200-hour women founder course known as CUBE Track with a business design, go-to-market strategy, and compliance focus. With this, having a mission of supporting 50 or more women-led startups annually with the CUBE, the seed support pool will provide 5-10 lakhs of funds to support over 30 women-led startups annually.All this will be accompanied by ties to angel investors, VC companies, peer mentoring circles, and market accessibility. CUBE aims to provide at least a two-year survival rate for 40% of incubated startups.
With major government schemes, like Mudra, Stand-Up India, and the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), the CUBE is integrated with, allowing faster capital access and accelerated entrepreneurial growth.
NARI Scheme - Nurturing AI Revolution for Inclusion (Women in Tech)
The NARI Scheme is an important initiative with an annual budget allocation of 2.20 crore by Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh Campus. Its main mission is to provide women with Skilling and Training, Incubation Support of startups, health and wellness initiatives, and women leadership and professional development through AI, and in the years to come (within three years), the scheme is expected to cover 1,500 women with sophisticated tech skills, assist 150 women-owned businesses, and screen 2000 women on their health. Along with this, the NARI scheme to develop the women-led technology ecosystem within Uttar Pradesh, ideally matched with the Mission Shakti and the start-up policy of the state and has the potential to directly impact 600 - 800 women annually.
Honorable Governor Of UP, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji inaugurated the technology-driven girls’ hostel
The ultra-modern and technology-based female student residential facility of the university, the first of its kind in Uttar Pradesh, was inaugurated by the Honorable Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji. The future-safe home is fitted with facial recognition AI, 24/7 smart surveillance, electronic access, wellness, student-friendly public areas, at a cost of 250 crore. The hostel is currently equipped with 480 beds, but is expected to increase the number of rooms to 4,000 beds in the next five years. CU UP has quickly become a prototype of a modern infrastructure in education in the course of its very first year.

HPV Vaccination Drive Launched at CU UP
With an aim to enhance women's health, Hon'ble Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji launched the HPV Vaccination Drive at CU UP to safeguard women against cervical cancer. She emphasized the burning necessity of awareness, timely immunizations, and healthcare prioritisation - and it was a massive leap forward to a healthier and cancer-free population of women.
