Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology successfully organized the 19th International Conference, GJ-IntConMITE 2025, themed “Globalizing Indian Wisdom: IKS in the Contemporary World” on 12 December 2025.
The conference provided an academic platform for scholars and researchers from India and abroad to discuss the importance and relevance of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) in today’s global context. The event witnessed international participation, including 3 researchers from the United States of America (USA). More than 30 research papers were presented, focusing on integrated academic approaches and emerging research trends related to IKS.
The inaugural session featured Dr Chander Prakash, IKS Cell Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Chemistry at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker. In his address, Dr Prakash spoke about the growing relevance of Indian Knowledge Systems in modern academic and research practices.
The conference was conducted by Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology through two parallel virtual tracks from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Track 1 was chaired by Dr Parag Shukla, Assistant Professor at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, while Track 2 was chaired by Dr Kulwinder Singh from the University Business School (UBS), Panjab University, Chandigarh.
During the event, the Conference Coordinator, Dr Bushra SP Singh, announced several upcoming academic initiatives. These included a 5-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “AI Skills for Future-Ready Faculty: Towards Viksit Bharat 2047,” scheduled from 8 June to 12 June 2026, and the 22nd National Conference GJ-NatConMITE 2026 on the theme “From Atmanirbhar to Viksit Bharat 2047: India’s Journey Towards Self-Reliance and Global Leadership,” to be held on 29 June 2026.
