Parul University Goa organised its Annual Cultural Fest, Goan Cultural Carnival 2026, celebrating the culture and traditions of Goa. The event brought students together for a day filled with performances, participation, and cultural activities across the campus.
Shri Altone D’Costa, MLA of Quepem Constituency, Goa, attended the event as the Chief Guest. He interacted with students and spoke about the importance of cultural activities in student life and the need to stay connected with one’s roots.
Event Highlights and Performances
The celebration began with a cultural procession that showcased the traditions of Goa and the Goan community. Students dressed in colourful traditional outfits created a vibrant visual display, setting the tone for the day.
Throughout the event, students participated in performances such as skits, one-act plays, group dance, folk dance, and folk orchestra. Each performance presented elements of culture and storytelling, reflecting both tradition and modern influences.
One of the main highlights of the carnival was Face of the Fest, which gave students a platform to present their individuality and confidence. The segment added a unique dimension to the event and encouraged self-expression among participants.

Dr. Devanshu Patel, Director of Parul Education Foundation, also attended the event. He said that the carnival represents the diversity and community spirit of students and provides them with a platform to express their abilities through art and culture.
Dr. Lalit Lata Jha, Provost of Parul University Goa, added that art and culture play an important role in bringing people together and help students stay connected to their cultural heritage.
