The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad, organized its Convocation 2025 on 13 December 2025 (Saturday), at the Shamirpet Campus. The event was held for students of the Class of 2025 who successfully completed their programs.
Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. He awarded degrees and medals to the graduating students. In his address, he spoke about the importance of ethical leadership, lifelong learning, and responsible management in a technology-driven world.
Several other dignitaries were also present on the dais. These included Shri K. Madhava Rao (President of the Board of Governors, IPE Hyderabad and former Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh and Election Commissioner), Mrs Mahapar Ali (Member of the Board of Governors, IPE Hyderabad and former Chief General Manager Learning & Development, Corporate Centre, State Bank of India), Shri B. Prasada Rao (Member of the Board of Governors, IPE and former Chairman and Managing Director of BHEL), Prof. S. Sreenivasa Murthy (Director, IPE Hyderabd) and Prof. M. L. N. Rao ( Controller of Examinations, IPE Hyderabad).
Prof. S. Sreenivasa Murthy welcomed the gathering and spoke about IPE Hyderbad’s journey since its establishment in 1964. He highlighted the institute’s focus on academics, industry interaction, innovation and research-based learning. He further mentioned that IPE Hyderabad is recognized as a Centre of Excellence by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). Moving forward, Shri K. Madhava Rao spoke about the role of management education in national development. He encouraged students to follow integrity, professionalism and a sense of public responsibility in their careers.
During the ceremony, degrees were awarded to 530 graduating students. Out of these, 450 students were present in person to receive their degrees. The Ujjwal Muddana Memorial Gold Medal was awarded to Ms P. P. Manusri Santosh, the topper of the PGDM Class of 2025, for her academic performance.
The event was attended by faculty members, officers, staff, alumni, parents, industry representatives, and members of the media. IPE Hyderabad Convocation 2025 concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. M. L. N. Rao, Controller of Examinations, IPE.
