A Future-Ready, NEP-2020 Aligned Curriculum

Modeled after the highly successful IPM structures at top IIMs, the LMTSM curriculum seamlessly blends liberal arts, quantitative techniques, and core business education. The program is fully aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, ensuring students receive a multidisciplinary foundation before advancing to specialized management studies.

The 5-year IPM equips students for a rapidly evolving global economy through:

  • Advanced Tech Integration: Early exposure to data analytics, machine learning, and AI tools embedded directly into the coursework.
  • Experiential Learning: A heavy focus on skill-based training, practical industry exposure, and flexible academic progression.
  • Holistic Leadership: Deep grounding in human values, corporate sustainability, and ethical business principles.

Inside the 4-Day "School to B-School" Transition

To ensure a smooth transition from high school to university life, LMTSM designed a comprehensive induction program focusing on academic readiness, personal growth, and professional development.

Day 1: Vision and Campus Discovery

The orientation opened with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and an extensive campus tour. Chief Guest Nishit Jain, Senior Special Advisor (Asia) at EFMD, urged the freshers to align their personal career ambitions with India’s national development goals.

"Think beyond the present, set ambitious goals, and envision your contribution towards India’s growth by 2047. While building your careers and shaping your futures, never forget to enjoy the journey and, importantly, smile more."

Day 2: Academic Adaptation

Students explored the LMTSM academic ecosystem through workshops like "School to B-School: Learn, Adapt, Grow" and "Leading with a Growth Mindset." The day concluded off-campus with a guided heritage tour of Chandigarh's iconic Rock Garden.

Day 3: Placement Readiness and Skill Building

Focusing on career longevity, day three covered innovation, entrepreneurship, and international exchange opportunities. A standout session, "Investment Strategies for All Stages of Life," introduced students to personal finance, followed by a vibrant evening cultural celebration.

Day 4: Ethics and Community Integration

The final day tackled modern corporate ethics with a session titled "Human Values in the AI Era." Incoming students also connected with senior batches during a candid "Seniors Unplugged: Ask & Learn" panel before the formal closing ceremony.

Fostering Accountability and Growth

Addressing the incoming batch and their families, Prof. D.P. Goyal, Director of LMTSM, assured parents of a highly nurturing and secure academic environment. He highlighted the distinct shift in responsibility that comes with entering a premier business school.

"The greater freedom associated with moving beyond school brings greater responsibility, ownership, and accountability," Prof. Goyal noted, setting a strong, growth-oriented tone for the founding cohort's five-year journey.
