NIIT University (NU) has launched 'Camp Future', a two-day immersive initiative designed to give students who have recently completed Class XII, along with their parents, a real taste of university life before making their admission decisions.

What is Camp Future?
Unlike a standard open day, Camp Future offers participants a full residential experience. Students stay in the university hostel, eat at the campus mess, interact with faculty from their chosen disciplines, meet senior students, and hear directly from university leadership. The programme also includes a trek across the 100-acre green campus, a look at NU's geo-thermal cooling system, and the campus's signature Astachal sunset experience.
First Edition Draws 200+ Attendees
The first edition took place on 25 and 26 April 2026 at NU's Neemrana campus, with more than 200 students and parents in attendance. A second edition is planned for the second week of May 2026. Several students who attended the first edition have already confirmed early admissions across various programmes at the university.
Speaking about the initiative, Prof. Prakash Gopalan, President of NU, said that choosing the right college is one of the most significant decisions a student will make, and Camp Future is designed to help students and families approach that choice with greater confidence.
Programmes on Offer
NU offers a range of undergraduate programmes tailored to emerging fields, including BTech degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Cyber Security, Robotics and Automation, and Biotechnology, as well as more traditional engineering streams. Management students can choose from a three-year BBA, a BBA in Artificial Intelligence or Business Analytics, or a five-year Integrated MBA.
Industry-Linked Learning
A strong emphasis on practical learning runs through all programmes, with BTech courses giving 35% weightage to hands-on experience through internships, industry projects, and a six-month Industry Practice placement. The university's Centre for Industrial Collaboration works to connect students with relevant companies for these opportunities.
