Day 1 of the annual cultural festival Panache S16 at Vivekananda Global University (VGU), Jaipur, was held on 14 March 2026. The first day of the event focused on culture, student participation, and department-wise representation. Inaugural Ceremony

The event began with the Inaugural Ceremony held from 09:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the VGU Technology Block Gate. The ceremony included the unveiling of the Panache 3D letters by the university president. A traditional lamp lighting ceremony was also conducted, followed by a Ganesh Vandana.

 

After the inauguration, a Cultural Procession was organised from Gate No. 1 to the Cricket Ground. Students and faculty from different departments participated in the procession.

Food Carnival at Technology Block Lawns

The Food Carnival took place from 01:45 PM to 03:30 PM at the Technology Block Lawns. Different departments prepared and served traditional dishes based on their assigned states. The stalls offered a variety of food items, including snacks, main courses, and desserts.

 

Faculty Ramp Walk Participation

The Faculty Ramp Walk was conducted from 03:30 PM to 04:15 PM at the Cricket Ground. Faculty members took part by representing different states through traditional attire. The event included both teaching and non-teaching staff and allowed faculty to participate in cultural activities with students.

 

Colour Craze: Rangoli Competition

The Colour Craze event was held from 04:15 PM to 05:00 PM at the Technology Block Foyer Area. It was a rangoli-making competition where participants created designs based on cultural themes.

 

Henna Hues: Mehndi Competition

The Henna Hues competition took place from 04:00 PM to 05:00 PM at the Sunken Area. It was an inter-department mehndi design competition where participants created detailed designs using cultural patterns and symbols.

 

War of DJ: Closing Event

The first day of Panache S16 ended with the War of DJ event from 05:00 PM to 07:30 PM at the Cricket Ground. Departments presented music playlists, and students and faculty gathered for music and dance.

 

Conclusion
