Parul University Vadodara hosted International Week 2026 through its Centre for International Relations & Research (CIRR). The week-long event brought together more than 70 international delegates from over 22 countries. The participants represented universities, polytechnics, government bodies, and education organizations from North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania.
International Week 2026 focused on strengthening global academic engagement. It included six key international programs covering academics, research, sustainability, student and faculty mobility, faculty development, and institutional partnerships. Cultural activities were also included to support cross-cultural understanding.
Delegates from countries like Canada, the USA, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Ireland, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, the UAE, New Zealand, Australia, China, Vietnam, Jamaica, and Russia attended the event. The event included both partner and non-partner institutions. Activities included academic sessions, exhibitions, artifact displays, institutional processions, sustainability initiatives like tree plantation drives, mental health talks, and interactions with departments such as SCOPE, OIA, and various academic units. Senior management of Parul University also held academic and strategic meetings with the visiting delegations.
The delegation included Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents (Academic), Deans, Directors, Deputy Vice Rectors for Internationalisation, Heads of Departments, Professors, and Global Engagement Leaders. They came from institutions like Humber Polytechnic, Canadore College, Niagara College Canada, San Diego State University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (USA), University of Otago, Victoria University of Wellington, Massey University, Lincoln University (New Zealand), Hochschule Kaiserslautern, Hochschule Mainz (Germany), Miguel Hernández University of Elche (Spain), University of Pretoria – GIBS Business School (South Africa), ITMO University (Russia), Telkom University (Indonesia), Karshi State Technical University, and Renaissance Educational University (Uzbekistan).
A major highlight of International Week 2026 was the opening of the India–New Zealand Centre of Excellence (COE), led by Parul University. This initiative brought together faculty members from seven universities in New Zealand. The COE focuses on shared infrastructure, joint research, cultural exchange, and long-term academic collaboration beyond student mobility. The launch took place in the presence of the Head of Education New Zealand (ENZ) and senior representatives from New Zealand government universities.
The event also marked 11 years of collaboration between Parul University and Humber College, Canada. During this occasion, a 2+2 dual-degree articulation agreement was signed. Under this agreement, students can complete part of their studies at Parul University Vadodara and the remaining part at Humber College. The program was launched in the presence of the Vice President of Humber College along with the Faculty of Commerce.
Dr. Preeti Nair, Director of the Centre for International Relations & Research, said that International Week serves as a platform for academic exchange and global interaction. Dr. Devanshu J. Patel, President of Parul University, stated that the university aims to provide global exposure to students and faculty through such initiatives.
International Week 2026 marked an important step in Parul University’s international engagement efforts. The university plans to further expand cross-border collaborations, research activities, and globally aligned academic practices by continuing to engage with international institutions and academic leaders.
