Parul University Vadodara organised its 22nd annual tech fest, Projections 2026, under the theme ‘Mission Ctrl’. The event brought together students interested in technology, engineering and innovation from different parts of the country.
Projections 2026 recorded participation from more than 20,000 students representing over 140 colleges and schools across 9 states and 45 cities. Participants travelled from cities such as Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune, Mount Abu, Kota and Surat. The large turnout positioned Projections as one of the biggest tech festivals in Gujarat.
The theme ‘Mission Ctrl’ was inspired by advanced command centres and modern control systems. The fest featured more than 50 technical events and over 20 workshops, along with guest lectures by industry experts. Workshops on Cyber Security, AI & ML and Graphic Design focused on practical learning. Technical competitions such as robotics and other high-intensity challenges require teams to plan strategically and perform within a limited time.
Along with technical events, the fest included activities like Paintball, Aqua Smashdown, Bid Bonanza and a gaming zone managed by Gameopedia. There were also interactive experience zones, flea markets and food stalls. Evening concert nights were organised as part of the overall festival schedule.
The entire event was planned and managed by students of the university. From coordination to execution, students handled different responsibilities throughout the fest. As part of a social initiative, INR 50,000 from the fest funds was contributed to the National Defence Fund.
Two participants from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Ayush Sharma and Devangi Chaudhuri, who took part in the technical event AIRBUZZ, shared their experience. Ayush Sharma said that Projections provided a competitive and collaborative platform where participants could test their ideas with students from across India. Devangi Chaudhuri stated that the event design and campus environment created space for learning and constructive engagement.
The event was attended by Chief Guest Captain (IN) Uday Sondhi, who addressed the students and spoke about the importance of discipline, leadership and a mission-oriented mindset in building successful careers.
Dr. Devanshu Patel, President of Parul University, said that Projections serves as a platform where students can explore innovation beyond academics and develop practical skills. He further stated that participation from multiple states reflects the growing reach of the fest.
Projections 2026 concluded with active participation from students across India. Through this annual event, Parul University Vadodara continues to provide a platform for technical learning, competition and student-led management experience.
