The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE Hyderabad) inaugurated the 12th edition of Startupedia’26 on 26th February 2026. The two-day national-level startup summit is organized by the E-Cell of the institute. The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by inspiring addresses from academic leaders and industry experts.

Participation and Vision for Innovation
Dr. Prarthana Kumar, Coordinator of Startupedia and Head of E-Cell, shared that the event received an overwhelming response. Out of 180 entries from across the country, 90 teams were shortlisted for the summit. She highlighted that Startupedia focuses on innovation and provides a strong platform for young entrepreneurs to present their ideas.
Prof. S. Sreenivasa Murthy, Director of IPE Hyderabad, spoke about the startup ecosystem at the institute. He stressed the importance of the 3Ps: Passion, Perseverance, and Patience. Prof. V. Srikanth, Dean of IPE Hyderabad, described Startupedia as a celebration of entrepreneurship. He encouraged students to actively participate, learn from experts, and use this opportunity to grow.
Insights from Industry Leaders
The Chief Guest, Shri T. Kameswara Rao, spoke about how startups can scale their ideas and explore funding opportunities ranging from INR 10 lakh to INR 10 crore. Following this, the Guest of Honour, Shri D. Chennapa Naidu Darapaneni, Founder of MERA Events, shared practical insights on innovation. He introduced the BUILD framework: Believe, Understand, Integrate with AI, Learn, and Deliver, to guide aspiring entrepreneurs.
Expert Sessions and Panel Discussions
Startupedia’26 Day 1 also featured engaging expert sessions and panel discussions on important topics such as Climate Tech, funding strategies, innovation beyond AI, and the Creator Economy. Notable speakers included Jeeten Desai of Ambiator and Shri Charan Lakkaraju, Founder & CEO of Student Tribe. The discussions provided valuable guidance to students and startup founders.
Startupedia’26 Day 2
The event will continue on 27th February 2026 with Jury presentations and the Valedictory Session. The 12th edition of Startupedia will conclude with awards and celebrations, recognizing outstanding entrepreneurial ideas and efforts.
