Top 10 Engineering Colleges in Bangalore (Private): NIRF 2025 Rank List

NIRF gives exact ranks only to the top 100. Colleges ranked 101 to 300 are grouped in bands and listed alphabetically. The 10th position among Bengaluru's private colleges falls in the 201–300 band, which four colleges share, so all 13 are listed.

Best Engineering Colleges in Bangalore by Placements: NIRF Data

NIRF filings report how many UG students graduated on time, how many were placed, their median salary and how many chose higher studies. The table covers three consecutive batches for each college from its official filing.

UG Placement Trend: Three Batches per College

Source: NIRF data filings (RV College of Engineering and BMS College of Engineering, India Rankings 2024; M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, India Rankings 2025; PES University, India Rankings 2023). Placement rate = placed ÷ graduated.

What the Placement Data Shows

BMS College of Engineering's graduating batch grew 28.5% between 2021–22 and 2022–23 (1,046 to 1,344), while the number placed grew 10.2% (864 to 952). That gap explains its placement rate falling from 82.6% to 70.8%. See the full BMS College of Engineering Placement Report for branch-level detail.

All salary figures above are medians of placed graduates, which is the only salary measure NIRF collects. NIRF filings do not report average or highest packages.

Engineering Colleges in Bangalore Fees: KCET, COMEDK and Management Quota

Seats in Karnataka's private unaided engineering colleges are split between three admission routes in a 45:30:25 ratio. The fee a student pays depends on which share the seat comes from.

KCET Fee for Private Engineering Colleges in Bangalore

KEA's provisional fee notification for 2026–27, dated 1 July 2026, fixes the annual fee for government-quota engineering seats by college type.

A government-quota seat at a Type-2 private college costs 2.8 times the government-college fee (₹1,30,320 against ₹47,100), and ₹10,000 more than a Type-1 seat. The fee for COMEDK and management-quota seats is set outside this notification.

The ₹47,100 government-college figure includes a ₹10,000 "other fee" approved by the state. KEA's provisional matrix listed that component as ₹500, a ₹9,500 gap the Higher Education Department asked KEA to clarify. Details are in our report on the KEA Fee Structure Descrepancy.

B.Tech Colleges in Bangalore: COMEDK Admission Eligibility

Meeting these criteria makes a candidate eligible for counselling; the seat itself is allotted by rank. Previous closing-rank trends are on our VTU Cutoff Page.
